How to Find Past Powerball Results by Date
By MyBallWin · Reviewed · 3 min read
Search for the drawing date printed on your ticket, then compare the five white balls and the red Powerball separately. A purchase date, a website update time, and a drawing date can be different. Confirm any potential win with the official lottery.
Start with the draw date, not the purchase date
A historical results lookup answers a precise question: which numbers were drawn for a particular game on a particular date? Start with the game name and drawing date on the ticket. If the ticket covers multiple drawings, make a separate comparison for each date. Do not assume that a ticket bought on Saturday necessarily belongs to the Saturday drawing you found online.
In the MyBallWin results archive, locate the relevant row and read its complete date before reviewing the balls. If you cannot find that date, use the official Powerball previous-results page. A third-party archive may have an incomplete range or an update delay, and an absent row is not evidence that a drawing did not occur.
Compare each field correctly
Consider an illustrative result with white balls 8, 19, 34, 45, 61 and red Powerball 12. The order of those five white balls does not affect a match. However, a white 12 on your ticket is not a match for the red 12. Color identifies the number pool; it is part of the result, not just a visual decoration.
Treat a displayed multiplier as a separate field. It is not a seventh drawn number and should not be included when counting white-ball matches. Keep different play lines separate as well: finding three matching numbers spread across three lines is not the same as matching three numbers on one line.
Keep a small verification record
When reviewing several old tickets, record the draw date, the exact play line, the result source, and the date you checked it. This prevents a common error: switching from one drawing to another while retaining the previous numbers in memory. If two sources disagree, compare both against the official drawing record instead of averaging or choosing the more favorable result.
Our archive is a research aid, not a ticket-validation service. Its useful role is to make history easier to inspect and compare. The selling lottery determines ticket validity, applicable prizes, and claim procedures. Historical matches also say nothing about whether the same numbers will appear again; retrieving a correct past result and predicting a future one are entirely different tasks.
